Fulton, NY – Thanks to a recent clothing drive
sponsored by “Entergy WIN (Women In Nuclear) at FitzPatrick” the closet at
Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Donna’s Place program is well stocked
with business clothing suitable for both women and men.
Donna’s Place is an innovative program that provides
additional support to both women and men who have become disenfranchised
through no fault of their own be it a divorce, death, loss of employment,
physical or mental illness, loss of housing, etc. The program offers these individuals the tools and support they
need to become self-sufficient members of the Fulton community. Included in that support is providing those
in need with a suitable wardrobe that will help them prepare to re-enter the
workforce. All services of Donna’s
Place are available to no cost to the participant.
Program Coordinator, Helen Hoefer,
was thrilled to receive the donation.
“It’s wonderful. Their generous
donation of men’s and women’s clothing will go along way in helping to meet the
needs of the growing number of people who rely on the services of Donna’s Place.”
A chapter of U.S. Women in
Nuclear, Entergy WIN at FitzPatrick works to inform the public of the benefits
of advancing the nuclear energy industry and seeks to motivate younger
generations to explore career opportunities in nuclear energy.
“We are happy to support such a
worthwhile program as Donna’s Place,” said Anne Porter of Entergy WIN at
FitzPatrick. “We applaud their efforts
in helping both women and men re-enter the workforce.”
Catholic Charities of Oswego County serves all people in
need regardless of their religious affiliation. Primary funding sources for Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s
