Fulton, NY - Catholic Charities of Oswego County
has teamed with the Upstate New York Empowerment Fund and the Oneida Indian
Nation to take part in a unique fundraising opportunity.
Catholic Charities of Oswego
County is selling tickets to the 2008 Turning Stone Resort Championship. This PGA TOUR® event will be held September
29th – October 5th at the Atunyote Golf
Club in Vernon.
The Oneida people are using
the Turning Stone Resort Championship, an official PGA TOUR event, as the
platform for a new charitable-community partnership, the Upstate New York
Empowerment Fund. Catholic Charities of Oswego County has the opportunity to
benefit from this partnership by participating in “Tickets for
Charity.”
“Tickets for Charity” allows
representatives from Catholic Charities to sell tickets to the Turning Stone
Resort Championship and receive 100% of the face value on every ticket the
agency sells. Tickets for the event are
priced as follows:

Monday, Sept. 29, Tuesday, Sept. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 1
- $10 for all 3 days.
·
Thursday, Oct. 2 and Friday, Oct. 3 - $25 for each day.
·
Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5 - $35 for each day.
All proceeds from the tickets
to the event sold by Catholic Charities of Oswego County will go directly to the
agency.
“This is a wonderful
opportunity for our agency to receive some much needed additional income that
will allow us to continue our mission of providing comfort and support to those
less fortunate in Oswego County,” said Executive Director, Mary-Margaret
Pezzela-Pekow.
