The oldest continually running Independence Celebration in Central New York.
Drawing floats, marching bands and parade groups from all over Central New York and further this show of patriotic pride is a must see event.
Beginning with an Old Time Country Fair held in Washington Square Park the Saturday before the parade, bring your family to enjoy some solid fun. Adults listen to the sounds of celebration while the children run and play at the playground or take part in one of the many activities and games set up throughout the park.
On Sunday line your chairs up early and watch the city buzz to life as groups prepare for the 1pm parade start.
As dusk falls gather along one of the many parks, such as Brietbeck and Fort Ontario, that dot the lake shore to watch the annual fireworks spectacular.
