The Safe Haven Museum and Education Center documents the lives of 982 refugees from the Holocaust in Europe who were offered sanctuary at the Fort Ontario Emergency Refugee Shelter in Oswego, New York during WWII.
The Safe Haven Museum and Education Center commemorates the stories of survival, the transition from fear to freedom, and the role the people of Oswego played in this humanitarian effort.
